Pissouri is the village once described by Gordon Honeycombe as "The Edge of Heaven"
 
Lots of things have changed since then, but Pissouri is still one of the most sought after locations to stay in Cyprus. It is equidistant from Paphos and Limassol, and both of these major towns are less than a half-hour drive away on the motorway.
 
If you are not in a hurry, and want to admire the scenery, you can drive to Paphos on the old coast road, past Aphrodite's Rock, skirting Kouklia, Mandria, Paphos airport and Timi and into Paphos town through Yeroskipou. The old coastal road to Limassol is just as attractive; it takes you through Happy Valley, to Curium, and into Limassol via Kolossi and Ypsonas.
 
Pissouri village itself has a pedestrianised central square, with branches of the Bank of Cyprus and Laiki Bank, the Post Office, and three main restaurants in the square itself. There is a supermarket, and other restaurants and bars including a pizzeria and various kebab establishments. There are also  butchers' shops, and we now have a charity shop. There is now also a Papantoniou supermarket.
 
A five minute drive away is the beach area, with a popular Blue Flag beach and a wide selection of eating places. The village is also ideally situated for the golf courses at Aphrodite Hills and Secret Valley, only ten minutes drive away; see the links page for more details.
